We're a locally owned studio at 1959 East Pershing Road in Decatur, Illinois — not a franchise, not a chain. We opened in 2023 built around a straightforward belief: people in Decatur deserve access to professional tattoo and piercing work without having to drive to a bigger city to find it. Our Artists Are Fully Trained Across Every Service We Offer
The artists at Premier Tattoo are fully trained across all services the studio provides. That means whether you come in for a custom tattoo, a cover-up, or a piercing, the person handling your work has the training to do it correctly. We don't hand off work to anyone who isn't ready for it.
On tattoo work specifically, the standard we hold ourselves to is clean lines, consistent saturation, and proper technique at every stage—from the stencil placement through the final pass. That consistency is what makes a tattoo hold up over time.
Piercing work follows the same standard. We use sterile, single-use needles—never a gun for cartilage or body placements—and we take the time to mark placement for client approval before we proceed. Aftercare instructions are given verbally and in writing before you leave.

For piercings, clients under 18 are welcome with a parent or legal guardian present in the studio and valid photo ID for both parties. We check every time and don't make exceptions to either rule.
